  5. How To Find True Love And Happiness In The Present Day La Folie "Non Stop" was apparently titled "Non Stop Nun", but appeared as just "Non Stop"on the cover. It has a catchy organ and guitar riff back and sounds like a bit of a throwback to the band's first two "punk" albums, apart from Hugh Cornwell's less aggressive vocal/5(31).
  6. La Folie is a welcome album in the Stranglers' oeuvre, mainly a collection of tight, punchy songs that often suggest the forthright approach of American new wave bands. With one exception, the songs are shorter and more pointed, harking back to the comparative conciseness of some of the tunes on the band's first two albums, Rattus Norvegicus and No More Heroes, though acidic lyrics still.
  7. One star for the first three albums, the Raven, and La Folie, one for including the fantastic Giants (even without Hugh, the best Stranglers album in decades!), and one for adding Off The Beaten Track. One star deducted for omitting Feline and Aural Sculpture, two woefully under rated efforts.
